Letter
from Richard Hatem,
Received April 9, 2003:
"I've received
literally hundreds of the most wonderful letters over the
past few days. In my wildest dreams I never expected so much
of a response; I guess Miracles fans are a different
breed. Their messages were full of love and hope and support,
and they turned what could have been the worst weekend of
my life into the best. I began with the sincere attempt to
write a personal response to each and every letter, but as
the numbered soared into the hundreds I realized it would
be impossible. But I continue to read every single letter
that comes through and I am passing copies on to David Greenwalt,
the cast and the crew. They all deserve to enjoy these incredible
outpourings of love; and they need to know that their efforts
did not go unnoticed.
To answer a general
question: As of right now, our chances of finding a viable
way to present to the un-aired episodes looks promising. Letters
of interest to alternative networks are of vital importance
right now. We are doing everything we can to make this happen,
and updates will follow as things become more concrete.
For now, I can't
thank the fans enough. With some luck, Miracles can
still happen. This may turn out to be the longest
- and
most effective -
five
minutes we've ever spent."
