The Critically-Acclaimed TV Drama Starring Skeet Ulrich Debuts On DVD With Seven Un-Aired Episodes, Deleted Scenes, Audio Commentaries And More!
IN STORES APRIL 19TH
LOS ANGELES, CA - Fans will discover that miracles do happen as Shout! Factory releases the critically-acclaimed television series "Miracles" as a four disc DVD set. Merely six episodes of the dark and moody drama aired in 2003 on ABC, but those viewers who were able to follow the show were hooked. The series, which stars heartthrob Skeet Ulrich (Scream) and Emmy winner* Hector Elizondo (The Princess Diaries and The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement), was cancelled prior to completing the season, but not before garnering much critical praise. The San Francisco Chronicle called "Miracles" "a surprising and compelling series with a feature-film quality" and "a stunner." US Weekly's review read, "nearly heaven-sent." Shout! Factory's DVD release includes all 13 episodes (seven of which remain un-aired in the U.S.), deleted scenes, multiple commentaries and an interview with creator Richard Hatem (The Mothman Prophecies). Miracles: The Complete Series DVD set will be available on April 19th for $49.98 (suggested retail price).
"Miracles" fans were disappointed with the drama's cancellation and took their complaints to the internet. SaveMiracles.com became a hub for letter writing campaigns, petitions and message board postings, and even raised funds to place full-page ads in trade publications Variety and The Hollywood Reporter. Not only will the Miracles: The Complete Series DVD set allow fans to see the remaining installments of the series, but the episodes have received a 5.1 sound makeover. "Miracles" executive producer David Greenwalt, director Matt Reeves and writers Christian Taylor and David Graziano have also pitched in by participating in six audio commentaries. Creator Hatem sits down for a fascinating interview, and production companies Spyglass Entertainment and Touchtone Television have uncovered deleted scenes from nearly every episode to round out the DVD bonus material.

In "Miracles," Paul Callan (Ulrich) is an investigator of modern miracles for the Catholic Church. As he consistently disappoints hopeful believers by finding simple explanations for "miraculous phenomena," the cleric finds his own faith sorely tested. While investigating the phenomenal healing powers of a 10-year old boy, Callan experiences "a vision in blood," suddenly renewing his faith in God. Callan's report of this seemingly true miracle is surprisingly and unceremoniously rebuffed by the Church superiors, and he resigns his position in disgust. Disheartened, Callan joins forces with a rogue team of paranormal investigators who are investigating a worldwide pattern of strange occurrences.
